DevOps Engineer

Role

SURLABS is looking for a DevOps Engineer to manage and improve the digital infrastructure used by our company and our clients. The role focuses on reliability, security, availability, automation, monitoring, backups, deployment processes, and the continuous improvement of daily operations.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and maintain the company’s digital infrastructure and the infrastructure we operate for our clients, ensuring stability, security, and availability.
  • Define and execute strategies to improve infrastructure performance, cost efficiency, scalability, monitoring, backups, and automation.
  • Continuously improve deployments and daily operations to reduce incidents and accelerate the delivery of new versions.
  • Support the team in building resilient systems and improving operational practices across projects.

Employment Conditions

  • Permanent contract, according to current applicable law.
  • Full-time position, according to current applicable law.
  • On-site work at our office in Dos Hermanas, Spain.
  • The position may require attendance at events and business trips, including international travel.
  • At least 22 working days of vacation and 3 personal days.
  • Coffee and breakfast available at the office.
  • Six-month probation period.

The role includes a structured improvement path linked to the recognition of additional capabilities by the company.

  • When the company recognizes the employee’s ability to present our work publicly, in person, and in English, the employee’s conditions will be improved.
  • When the company recognizes the employee’s ability to plan, coordinate, and manage company operations, the employee’s conditions will be improved.

The improvement process will begin at the employee’s request. The employee will propose a milestone plan to company management to certify the relevant capability. The company may amend the plan, and both parties will discuss it until an agreement is reached. Once the milestone plan is agreed, signed, and activated, the employee will work towards completing it. When all milestones have been achieved, the company will recognize the corresponding capability and apply the agreed improvement.
